Sofa Interiors is pleased to offer In-Home consultations. The easiest way to pull a room scheme together is to select the right fabic. From beautiful florals, to country pleads, contemporary suedes and French toiles, ticking stripes and rich damask we offer a wide variety of fabrics. We work only with the best fabric manufacturers and vendors in the industry such as Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley, Waverly, Robert Allen, Stroheim & Romann, Schumacher, Fabricut, Kravet , Duralee and many more. Visit one of our stores and discover the multitude of patterns, styles and colors that will satisfy your own design sensibility. Some fabrics available at Sofa Interiors are treated with a stain resistant finish that is applied by the fabric’s manufacturer. The fabrics that do not have the protecting finish can be treated with Guardian Fabric Protector that will be applied in our factory before delivery.

I. Fabric care suggestion:

To ensure greater longevity of your fabric’s appearance, avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight or near heat sources. When removing spills, absorb as much as possible by blotting with a white damp cloth-never rubbing! Wipe up spills immediately. Never apply cleaning solution to any visible part of the furniture before first testing in areas that are not visible! Vacuum your furniture at least once a week. Slipcovers can be dry-cleaned or washed depending on the actual fiber used to make the fabric.

II. Fibers

Natural fibers:
Cotton: machine-washable, dry-cleanable, good strength, good color retention, prints well, good strength
Cotton/Polyester mix: fewer wrinkles than cotton.
Linen: Very good strength, dyes and prints well, lightweight to heavy weight, crisp hand, no static or pilling, washable or dry-cleanable,
Mohair: luxurious, strong fiber, soft hand, most resilient natural fiber, dyes well, brilliant colors, resists fading, non-pill, non-crush,
Silk: strongest natural fiber, luxurious, dyes and prints well, soft or crisp hand, no pilling, some problem with static, poor sun resistance, fair abrasion resistance

Manufactured fibers:
Acetate: luxurious appearance dyes and prints well, crisp or soft hand, resistant to shrinking, moths and mildew, no pilling problem,
Acrylic: light weight, soft, wool-like hand, non-allergenic, superior resistance to sunlight, resistant to moths, oil and chemicals
Polyester: strong, resistant to stretching or shrinking, washable or dry-cleanable, resilient, wrinkle resistant, abrasion resistant
Rayon: strong, soft and comfortable, dyes and prints well, no static or pilling problems, dry-cleanable, shrinks when washed, retains shape, resilient to wrinkles and shrinking, wool-like, cotton-like appearance

III. Indoor/outdoor fabrics:

100% Solution dyed acrylic indoor/outdoor fabrics are designed and manufactured to withstand the extremes. Special pigments and finish is applied so these fabrics are UV resistant, water repellent and mildew resistant. They are fashionable and versatile, whether you need a new awning, umbrella, cushion covers for a boat or slipcovers for a family room sofa, these fabrics can be used anywhere.
